Cataclysm Update W/C 5th July PART 2
Thinking it would be the simplest thing in the world, and perhaps the most obvious class to begin with. I started levelling with A Warrior back in 2006. It was almost eight months before my first character hit 60.
This was eight months where I frequently stopped playing for weeks on end. Being a pure melee class, and the game being short on quests to begin with I got really really bored of grinding.
I was not into “alts” at the time, but did a few early instances, put some of the guys and girls I’d teamed up with on my friends list, and then wondered how on earth they shot to level 60 in a matter of weeks.
It wasn’t until I started my second character that I looked into levelling speed. She was a hunter, and she levelled to 70 (BC had arrived in the mean time) inside 8 weeks.
It was then I realised that all classes are not born equal – at least as far as the levelling process goes.
Hunters have always had a special relevance for me. If it was not for the realization that my second character bought me, then I probably would have quit Warcraft a long time ago.
Since then, I have levelled every class to 80. Yup even a priest. The first 40 levels until Shadowform are perhaps the slowest ever, even slower than Warriors, but Priests get much quicker to level with Shadowform.
Anyway. It was lovely to find a video showing my favourite class being buffed nicely in Cataclysm. And having a pet from the get-go. Ok, he/she isn’t under your control as such to begin with. But a hunter needs a pet right?
(Ok survival hunters – I know
)
Here’s the vid.
